This hotel was a great spot for a short stay, offering clean rooms at a good price. The location was perfect for easy access to restaurants and nearby attractions. While the facilities were basic, they met our needs, though the service could use a little more personalization. Overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for comfort without breaking the bank.

Rooms
7.0
The room was small, but clean and included a fridge for drinks. The bed was a bit firm, and the TV didn't work, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a big deal.
Service
7.0
Check-in was a bit limited, but the self check-in process was very easy. I would have appreciated more interaction with the front desk staff.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk to various dining options and the shuttle to the ski mountain. It was easy to get to everything we needed.

The common areas had a cozy vibe with a fireplace and free self-serve coffee, which added a nice touch to our stay.

The Viking Lodge is a cozy spot that my family has grown to love over the years. The updated rooms add a fun vibe, and the location is super convenient for dining and shopping. However, some of the furniture is outdated and the beds could use an upgrade for ultimate comfort. Overall, it's a great choice if you're here for skiing and close access to local amenities.

Rooms

My room was updated and clean, though I did notice some rooms might be small and equipped with outdated furniture. The bed was comfortable but not the best I’ve had.
Service
8.0
I found the service to be quite accommodating. They were quick to respond when I requested extra towels, which was appreciated.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just steps away from shops and restaurants, and it's super easy to catch the ski area bus right nearby.
Dining

I had a great time exploring all the local restaurants within walking distance, and they were reasonably priced.
Facilities

I enjoyed the cozy lounge area near the electric fireplace, perfect for a relaxing evening, although the gym and other amenities were minimal.

6.6/10

The Viking offers a charming old-world vibe with its paneled walls and exposed beams. It has a great location that makes it easy to access food, bars, and ski transport without needing a car. However, the outdated beds and furniture could use an upgrade, and conveniences like in-room coffee machines are missing. While it’s a decent and economical choice for skiing, it might not be ideal for a more luxurious stay.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had a nostalgic charm but were outdated, featuring old beds and falling-apart furniture. There was a small refrigerator and television, but overall, the amenities felt limited.
Service
7.0
I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but the self-service aspect suited my needs during the stay, given I was there to ski.
Location

The location was excellent, right in the heart of everything I wanted to see, making it convenient for dining and skiing.

The hotel had ski lockers which were very convenient, but the overall facilities felt a bit shabby and could use some maintenance.

I had a pretty decent stay overall. The lodge is right in the center of Winter Park, making it super convenient to get around. My room was clean, but there were some issues with the thermostat and thin walls that made my stay less than perfect. Also, the Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby, which was disappointing.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and included a fridge to keep my drinks cold. However, the thermostat was broken, making it uncomfortably warm at times, and the bathroom was small.
Service

I had a frustrating experience trying to get help regarding the thermostat, as the after-hours number didn't work.

The facilities felt a bit outdated and shabby. The Wi-Fi only available in the lobby was a letdown.

8.2/10

I had a solid experience at the Viking Lodge. It's definitely not luxurious, but the price is unbeatable for the great location right near the Lift stop and dining options. The room we had was spacious, fitting three of us comfortably, but it felt a bit dated with the outdated TV and a small bathroom. The vibe was casual, very much like a lodge for those hitting the slopes, and I appreciated the ease of access to everything around.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious enough for three adults and included a fridge, but the TV was outdated and the bathroom small.
Service
8.0
I appreciated the straightforward service as there was no daily maid service, which I actually preferred. It felt more like a home than a hotel.
Location
10.0
The location is fantastic! It's an easy walk to a bunch of restaurants and right next to the bus stop for the ski resort.
Dining
8.0
I didn't dive into the dining options here, but there were plenty of eateries within walking distance, and it seemed like homey spots were around.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities included a mini fridge in the room and outdoor lockers for our gear, which I found very useful.
